Rebuilding Trust: Civic Engagement & the Future of Public Discourse
Civic engagement isn’t just about voting or attending meetings—it’s about shaping the health, trust, and resilience of a community. In an era marked by polarization, misinformation, and widespread civic fatigue, public discourse has become more fragile than ever. This talk explores the practical steps individuals, organizations, and institutions can take to strengthen public trust, cultivate meaningful dialogue, and create pathways for constructive civic participation.
Drawing from lived experience in public service, museum leadership, and community programming, this session empowers audiences to become catalysts for healthier, more connected civic environments.
The Weight at the Top: Leadership, Loneliness & Responsibility
Leadership is often portrayed as energizing, inspiring, and full of opportunity—but it can also be isolating, emotionally draining, and incredibly heavy. Many leaders quietly bear the weight of responsibility, decision fatigue, organizational expectations, and the absence of true peers within their workplace.
This session pulls back the curtain on the real experience of leadership. With candor and practical insight, it explores how leaders can maintain resilience, build support systems, strengthen their self-awareness, and create a leadership approach rooted in clarity and connection.
The Power of Showing Up: Community Engagement & Involvement
Community transformation doesn’t begin with massive projects—it begins with people showing up. When residents, leaders, and organizations commit to being present and engaged, change becomes not only possible but sustainable.
This keynote explores models for effective community engagement and demonstrates how connection, inclusion, and consistency form the foundation for lasting impact. Through stories, examples, and actionable steps, audiences learn how to build community involvement that is meaningful, inclusive, and long‑lasting.
